Secrets of Deara out on the open water - June 1, 2025

Went with my wife and oldest daughter to college orientation in Arkansas. What a beautiful place! I'm not exactly the most sporty guy in the world (my school didn't offer quidditch), so I never really learned my own school's fight song, and now I have to learn another? But it was fun, and it's great to see my daughter so excited. (I mean, sure, she's excited that she's leaving us, so grain of salt and all that.)

Another interesting bit—I’m leave for England the day this is going out. For work. Cambridge to be precise. If anyone wants to grab a pint with me locally, let me know (though I think ARM has plans for us every evening).

Hopefully everyone knows that Secrets of Deara set sail on May 30! For anyone who hasn't jumped into that series yet, I put all three books on sale in the USA & UK for 99c for a week. I didn't see how to do a countdown deal in Canada, but book 3 will be set at 99c for that week. We're a couple of days into that week, so... make haste.

For those who signed up for the ARC, I could really use those reviews on Amazon. Goodreads and Bookbub are also great places to leave reviews

Nowhere Left To Run

Road To Nowhere Book 1

By S. K. Gregory

With killer werewolves on her tail and the mysterious Council breathing down her neck, Nissa is going to have to trust in her own abilities if she hopes to survive.

After half-wizard Nissa’s power to manipulate time ends in tragedy, she flees home to Nowhere, but before long, her past catches up to her, in the form of another supernatural asking for help.

Nissa has one rule: no fraternizing with customers. Especially of the sexy werewolf variety. Blake, however, won’t take no for an answer…and neither will the dead body in the bar parking lot.

If anyone discovers her abilities, they’ll exploit her, and she’s too ready to think Blake will be an exception. Yet, he’s pulled her into the mystery, and tasks her with helping get his sister out of town.

It won’t be easy, but if anyone understands being on the run, it’s Nissa. Problem is, time is running out, and if Nissa doesn’t figure out who the real killer is before they strike again, she could be the next victim.

Fans of Midnight, Texas and Wynonna Earp will love this urban fantasy series.

I'm considering restructuring the emails to be once a month instead of every two weeks. Let me know your thoughts. Life is incredibly busy, but, generally speaking, it's also a lot of fun. With three teenage daughters, and now four cars, we've always got something in the shop, always have kids darting in and out of the house, always have exasperating moments of schedule conflicts. But those kids darting about are fun and funny, and the schedule conflicts are because everyone has their interesting stuffs. So yeah, bedlam, but I'm sure I'll miss it. And my wife and I still manage to sneak away for date...

I showed my daughter and her friends how to use a miter saw and drill and set them loose for their school project. There’s still thirty fingers amongst them, so I’m declaring it a victory, whether they get an A or not I sent out the ARC ebook versions of Secrets. The paperback will take more time. Right now, only 11 people are signed up. That's the lowest I've ever had, which perhaps I should take as a sign. But this book is my favorite so far, and I think it is pretty solid with the rounds...
